    Gerry Weber

    CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

    Gerry Weber, Chief Operating Officer, has more than 35 years of experience in the rail industry, beginning his career with Canadian National Railway (CN) as a design engineer before advancing through leadership roles in mechanical, marketing, supply management, and transportation. He went on to lead Transdev’s rail division in Chicago, supporting commuter lines in Florida and California, before serving as vice president of mechanical at Union Pacific Railroad and later overseeing railyard service businesses at Marmon Holdings. His leadership and cross-functional expertise bring a unique perspective that supports Compass Rail’s continued growth and operational success.

    SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    Jay Medlin, Vice President of Business Development, has 18 years of experience in the rail industry, including 16 years at Norfolk Southern across mechanical, sourcing, and marketing. That background gives Jay an extensive understanding of railroad operations and the challenges customers face. After moving into senior sales and marketing roles with suppliers, he now uses his insight from both sides of the industry to build strong relationships with railroads and shippers. Jay focuses on delivering practical, win-win solutions that drive growth and customer success.

    CHIEF SAFETY OFFICER

    Cliff Bowman, Chief Safety Officer at Compass Rail, started as a track laborer and worked his way up over a 30-year career to lead high-performing teams across mechanical, track and transportation. Known as “Coach” for his team-first leadership style, Cliff has built some of the safest and most productive operations in the industry. At Compass Rail, he drives a boots-on-the-ground safety culture rooted in authenticity, accountability, and respect for the frontline.

    Joshua Shenk, Chief Financial Officer, brings nearly 30 years of accounting and finance experience, including executive leadership roles across a variety of industries. His expertise spans budgeting, treasury management, audit, IT, payroll, inventory control, and compliance. At Compass Rail, Joshua is focused on building a strong financial infrastructure that supports growth, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and equips teams to operate efficiently and effectively.

    Shane Keller, CEO of Compass Rail, brings more than 32 years of railroad leadership experience from Union Pacific. Throughout his career, he served as Senior Vice President over multiple departments, including Mechanical, Engineering, and Transportation. With broad expertise spanning operations, locomotive and car management, engineering, transportation, dispatching, and service design, Shane combines deep industry knowledge with proven leadership to drive Compass Rail’s growth and operational excellence.

    DIRECTOR OF CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Megan McDaniel, Director of Customer Service, brings nearly 20 years of experience in railcar repair and management. She has advanced through a variety of roles, including railcar controller, customer service manager, and plant manager at repair facilities. She now manages the entire customer fleet maintenance process, from cost estimates and repair scheduling to compliance and invoicing through Rail IQ or directly for mobile repair clients. Megan’s focus is on safe, reliable, and cost-effective service that keeps customer fleets moving.

    DIRECTOR OF MOBILE OPERATIONS

    Tanner Davis, Director of Mobile Operations, began his career as a mobile railcar technician and has spent the last eight years honing the skills that make teams successful. That hands-on experience built his problem-solving abilities and gave him a strong foundation in keeping field operations running smoothly. Today, he leads a skilled team that delivers fast, reliable, and safe on-site repairs. Tanner brings a technician’s mindset to leadership—focused on efficiency, continuous improvement, and ensuring clients can count on Compass Rail to keep their operations moving.

    DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & RRA STARTUPS

    Brandon Tallman, Director of Operations & RRA Startups, has 15 years of experience in railcar inspection and repair, including work for Class I railroads and major repair providers. He possesses a strong background in FRA and AAR regulatory standards, safety management, emergency analysis, and HAZMAT expertise. At Compass Rail, Brandon leads new site startups, develops strong area managers and superintendents, and ensures every facility operates with consistent safety, regulatory, and productivity standards.

    DIRECTOR OF RAILROAD RELATIONS AND RRA OPERATIONS

    Robert Blaisdell, Director of Railroad Relations and RRA Operations, has more than 20 years of mechanical and railroad experience from his career with a Class I railroad in the Northeast U.S. His expertise spans both the mechanical and transportation sides of the industry, and he has consistently focused on developing his teams while advancing operational excellence. Robert now leads multiple railcar repair service locations with a focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency.

    DIRECTOR OF RAILROAD RELATIONS AND RRA

    Ken Frisbie, Director of Railroad Relations and RRA, is a railcar repair operations executive with more than 30 years of experience. He worked his way up from repair roles into health and safety, compliance, and operations leadership, gaining a broad view of the industry. Today, Ken oversees Compass Rail service centers across eight states and partners with host railroads to ensure safety, quality, and operational goals are consistently met.

    DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE

    Cory Campbell, Director of Quality Assurance, has built his career around quality and regulatory compliance in the rail industry. He began in 2015 at a full-service tank car qualification shop, where he gained hands-on experience in inspection and repair, earning NDT certifications before moving into quality leadership. That foundation sparked a passion for quality and regulatory compliance, leading him to take on increasingly complex challenges. Today, Cory leads Compass Rail’s quality and compliance programs, leading efforts to expand the company's capabilities in freight car repair.

    Garry Yancey, Senior Material Manager, has more than ten years of experience in materials and operations management in the rail industry. He developed strong expertise in logistics, inventory control, and process improvement through progressive roles in materials management and shop operations during his time at Union Tank Car. In his role at Compass Rail, Garry oversees material planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations to support efficient, reliable and cost-effective repair services across the network.

    Aimee Curtis, Inside Sales and Marketing Manager, has more than 25 years of combined customer service and rail industry experience. She has led sales growth, streamlined operations, and implemented CRM systems that improved client satisfaction. Before joining Compass Rail, Aimee built her career at Union Tank Car, where she advanced through customer service, office, and scheduling leadership roles. She optimized production, improved workflows, and strengthened team collaboration, and her expertise in scheduling, customer engagement, and strategic planning continues to drive operational excellence and long-term client relationships.

    Chad Clopp, Vice President of Business Development MRU, has more than 10 years of experience leading rail operations and mobile repair services. He has overseen multi-site teams, coordinated mobile repair crews, and ensured compliance with FRA and AAR standards. Known for streamlining processes and strengthening safety practices, Chad has also built strong vendor relationships and developed new revenue streams. He is dedicated to driving efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement across Compass Rail’s mobile repair operations.

    DIRECTOR, HR AND RECRUITING

    Lisa Neason, Director of HR and Recruiting, has more than 30 years of human resources experience, including over a decade in the rail sector. She has led HR functions across unionized and non-unionized environments, supporting more than 500 employees across North America. With expertise in labor relations, talent architecture, and organizational development, Lisa has implemented enterprise-wide systems, designed performance programs, and mentored HR teams across the U.S. and Canada. Known for her collaborative leadership style, she is committed to building inclusive, high-performing cultures that align with Compass Rail’s operational goals.

    HEALTH AND SAFETY DIRECTOR

    Scott Stinnett, Health and Safety Director, has more than 20 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), financial oversight and operational leadership. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles in EHS, compliance, and finance, developling a deep understanding of OSHA standards, regulatory requirements, risk management, safety strategy. At Compass Rail, Scott oversees EHS initiatives across 35 locations in 16 states, focusing on audits, training, and regulatory compliance to strengthen safety and operational performance companywide.
